Bright and Timeless
The goal for this classic historic cottage in Pensacola was to design a bright, timeless space with more attention to details that felt fun and feminine. And of course, in an old home, a kitchen remodel can be a bear. However, a true overhaul was necessary to get the client the more fitted details and clean lines she was truly after.
Details that Delight
The kitchen wasn’t where our design stopped, Many of the selected materials capture the space and accentuate its age and charm. A sweet “office cubby is the perfect spot for paying bills and displaying treasures found on travels in the kitchen. Wallcoverings and vintage art nod to the eclectic, book-loving nature of the client. Petite shelves for little plants and sprouts to take root accentuate a beautiful window view by the sink. The handmade green zellige tile on the backsplash contributes to a more vibrant color pallet melds with the historic tone of the home overall and feels perfectly sophisticated for the design! A sense of ambiance permeates the house. These details truly delivered!
A Powder Room with Personality
Character continues in the powder bathroom. Patterned wallpaper brings personality and charm. Thoughtful details like the scalloped mirror and statement pendant lighting add a layer of whimsy and femininity. The result is a sophisticated space that feels both timeless and delightfully unexpected. Perfect for a classic historic cottage.
Don’t Forget Dining
Did we mention the insanely beautiful dining room complete with weeping willow wallcoverings and original wainscoting that we accented in a color (of course!) It’s hard to pick a favorite detail, especially when these all work together so effortlessly to feel symbiotic without giving a matchy-matchy feel!
