Historic renovation gives young family a new home!
This beautiful Scandinavian cottage in historic North Hill blended old and new styles and ideas. Remaking the original floor plan to fit an additional bathroom upstairs (tiny but mighty!), another bedroom, and an enlarged master bath was quite the challenge. But it was nothing we couldn’t handle.
Bathrooms built in the 1940’s were small! But this didn’t stop us from making these spaces charming and open. The pendant lights really add a unique touch that the clients loved, adding personality and warmth. Taking out a fireplace enlarged the Scandinavian kitchen to an open floor plan. This allowed flow and easy access to the dining area, where bright white chairs are waiting around a round table. The perfect spot for coffee and breakfast. We love how this home turned out!
