Cheryl Clendenon is an irreverent interior designer with 26 years of full-time, nonstop industry experience and the principal of a thriving design firm known for thoughtful, highly detailed work. Before running a studio of six professionals, Cheryl built an early career in media and radio sales—an education in communication, persuasion, and human behavior that continues to shape how she approaches design, clients, and complex projects.
A natural contrarian with a fast pace and sharp insight, Cheryl is known for questioning assumptions that don’t hold up in practice. Her work centers on flow, function, and visualizing how a home will live and evolve over time—not just how it will look on reveal day.
Cheryl was named KBB Person of the Year in 2021, is a nationally published writer with a monthly column in Home Accents Today, and has been featured in more than 80 publications including House Beautiful, Fine Homebuilding, Southern Living, and Better Homes & Gardens.
She lives on a tiny barrier island on Florida’s Gulf Coast with her extraordinarily patient husband Randy, two dogs, and one deeply opinionated cat.

Libby is a lead designer and wiz at delivering the creative vision to our clients in our presentations through 3D rendering.
She is the driving force behind the design of all of our projects, has a great creative eye, and brings a unique perspective to the team – the apple didn’t fall far from the tree from our owner Cheryl, who happens to be her mother!
Libby lives with her husband Jake, dog people Goose and Birdie and a sweet baby girl.
Director of Damn Good Designer
Stephanie’s history with In Detail goes back more than 16 years, when she happened to discover the studio while driving through Pensacola shortly after moving to town. It became her first full-time interior design job after graduating from the University of Nebraska with a degree in Interior Design.
She worked with In Detail in person for nearly two years before stepping away to start a family. Since then, life as a Marine spouse has taken her across the country twice, and she currently calls North Carolina home—for now—with her husband and three children.
Six years ago, Stephanie found her way back to In Detail, this time remotely. She has worked in a variety of roles across the company, bringing her design background and longtime knowledge of the firm to each one, and today heads our business coaching department.
Associate Interior Designer
As a Design Associate, Andrea brings a thoughtful curiosity to the studio, with a particular interest in sustainable design, unexpected details, and the psychology behind why spaces make us feel the way they do.
She earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design from Rocky Mountain College of Art + Design in Denver and began her career in commercial interiors as a Junior Interior Designer with Main Street Office Furniture.
Outside the studio, Andrea manages the joyful chaos of life with her husband, three children, cat, and dog—affectionately known as “The Lew Crew” or “The Lew Zoo,” depending on the day. She calls the Gulf Coast home, but the mountains of Utah will always have a piece of her heart.
